MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING REHABILITATION

Complete reform of an apartment building in Manresa.

It is an old building which needs a full renovation because currently it is in a poor condition and it is necessary to adapt it to the conditions of comfort and energy consumption required.

The current apartments have small and narrow spaces with poor illumination and ventilation. The project propose a new distribution of the apartments so the rooms will be more wide and have better conditions. Moreover, an elevator will be installed in the patio in order to guarantee the accessibility in the entire building.

The intervention contemplates two apartments per floor, one of 60m2 and another one of 110m2. The smallest one has two bedrooms, one bathroom and one wide unique space for kitchen, living and dining room. The biggest has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and one wide unique space for kitchen, living and dining room.

Besides the new distribuition, it is also intended to reduce the energy consumption of the building by using efficient systems of heating and cooling and by using materials that help to reduce the transmittance.
