SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE RENOVATION

Full project management of a single family isolated house in Valldoreix, Barcelona.

The renovation of the existing house consists, basically, to improve the inner distribution of the house and link it with the yard. This is the leitmotif of the project because we understand in this kind of buildings the connection between the house and the yard is essential.

In order to get this, the height between the kitchen-dining room and the living room is changed. With this mere gesture, the back entrance from the yard is emphasized and, at the same time, it allows to open two light openings to this rooms, so all the existing trees and vegetation of the plot become part of the inside, as if they were two paintings.

This is how a relationship between interior and exterior is established. The operation is completed by renovating the yard to provide a single union in harmony.
