MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING REHABILITATION

Complete reform of an apartment building in Manresa.

There are three old buildings which need a full renovation because currently they are in a poor condition and it is necessary to adapt them to the conditions of comfort and energy consumption required.

The project includes the demolition of the buildings but maintaining the facades in order to unify the spaces and arrange a new distribution where the apartments would be wider and more luminous. Moreover, an elevator will be installed in order to guarantee the accessibility in the entire building.

The intervention contemplates four apartments per floor, from 60m2 to 100m2. The smallest one has two bedrooms, one bathroom and one wide unique space for kitchen, living and dining room. The biggest has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and one wide unique space for kitchen, living and dining room.

Besides the new distribuition, it is also intended to reduce the energy consumption of the building by using efficient systems of heating and cooling and by using materials that help to reduce the transmittance.
