HOUSE RENOVATION

Renovation project of a terraced house in Terrassa.

It is an old three-stores dwelling that needs a complete reform in order to adapt itself to the needs and requirements of the new owners. Firstly, the backyard's facade is moved until the building boundary and the dwelling is redistributed; the kitchen is moved to the center of the house in order to let the living-dining space grow.

Moreover, some partition walls are demolished and only the essential ones are kept in order to get wider and more diaphanous spaces where the light from the patio can arrive.

So the day zone is placed on the ground floor and the night zone on the first floor. The upper floor is kept as a storage area. The ground floor has a parking, a bathroom, the kitchen and the livingf room and also a bedroom for guests. The first floor has two rooms, one of them has a private studio, a bathroom, a laundry room and there is also a studio in the middle.

Finally, some ground of the backyard is removed in order to set it at the same level of the living room, so the backyard will have two levels.
