SPORTS CENTER

Project design for a sports center in Malabo.

The sports center designed in this city of Equatorial Guinea is a building capable to integrate itself with the environment using the transparency of its walls.

The building is modulated in two parts, the sports court area and the dressing room and the gym. This areas are divided by an open corridor which respects vegetation of the plot.

The skin of the building is composed by lightweight sliding walls of color green which can move and adjust the number of openings of the space. The upper walls are glass, so they offer a full transparency and can be protected from direct sunlight with vertical awnings.

The locker rooms and the gym have duller walls in order to offer privacy and they still maintain the green shades that camouflage the building with its surroundings.
