SEAFRONT

Urban planning for Malabo's new seafront.

The project takes the waterfront to organize the entire city of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The seafront is structured as a main artery that links the entire new city, which always gives priority to the pedestrians and sustainable transport (as bicycles). Moreover, the seafront is full of local vegetation and it has light colored pavements next to the beach.

The new city is understood as a large garden city, it takes profit of tall buildings and creates green and pedestrian areas around them so the city can breathe and take benefit from the coast environment.
