UNIVERSITARY RESIDENCE

Project for the rehabilitation of a masia (farmhouse) and the construction of a universitary residence in Sant Cugat del Vallès.

The project promoter wants to transform the historic Masia de Can Cabassa (formerly with restaurant use) to a universitary residence designed mainly for medical students at the General Hospital of Catalonia, which is located right next to it.

Besides rehabilitating the Masia, the construction of a new 3-storey building with nearly fifty apartments and a basement with a parking space for each of them is also planned.

In this new building the use of prefabricated building systems is promoted in order to save time and money. The apartments are small and simple, they only have the essential elements to make it habitable, so the user can decide the final configuration of their new home. The apartments can be used individually or be shared between two people.
